Description
Hike between Montluçon and Poitiers on the GR100, a historic route
Travel the 450 km linking Montluçon to Poitiers along the GR100. This recent route (2024) is fully signposted and allows you to walk in the footsteps of the Chevalier du Guesclin and his contemporaries. This GR100 was designed based on meticulous work and allows you to visit stages and sites of conflict between France and England in the 14th century. It's an opportunity to visit castles, fortresses, and memorials amidst varied landscapes and crossing five departments.
Stroll through the hedged farmland of Berry or Allier, enjoy the gently rolling landscapes of Poitou, and discover the charming Creuse Valley.
