Rhône and Aare cycle paths, 647 km of cycling in Switzerland
The total length of the Rhône cycle path is around 332 kilometres, and that of the Aare cycle path around 315 kilometres. The variations and excursions along the Rhône are 36 kilometres long. On the Aare, there are variants and excursions of around 24 kilometres in length.
The Rhone route is indicated everywhere as route no. 1 and is part of Eurovelo 17, which links the Rhone with the mouth of the Mediterranean. The Aare cycle path is marked No. 8. Signage in Switzerland is also checked annually by the SuisseMobil foundation and is reliable.
