Description

On the Mozart Route, a cycle guide between Salzburg and Chiemgau

This route is approximately 450 km long and mainly runs along quiet, secondary roads. The cycle paths follow rivers and lakes. Some sections are unpaved after Roitham am Chiemsee or before Inzell. This is a mountainous route, with the steepest climbs in Tyrol between Walchsee and Kirchdorf and between Ruhpolding and Reit im Winkel.

Regarding the signs, the signs are green with white lettering in the Salzburg region, yellow and blue in Tyrol, and white with brown lettering for the rest of the route.

Mozart's head is visible on all the signs!

This route currently only exists in German, however, the detailed map from Bikeline is particularly accessible.
