The GR®62 long-distance hiking trail, linking Rodez to Conques, crosses Aveyron via the Grands Causses (Rouergue, Noir, Comtal), the Rougier de Marcillac and the Lévezou plateau. This hike of more than 5 days takes you in the footsteps of Pierre Soulages, famous French painter and engraver born in Rodez, known in particular for his stained glass windows at the Conques abbey church. In Rodez, you will find the Soulages museum, dedicated to the artist's major works, as well as those lesser known.
